Katja Gentinetta holds a Ph.D. in political philosophy from the University of Zurich. She completed her studies in Zurich, Paris, Salzburg and Harvard. In her professional career she has held various leading positions in the public and private sector, most recently as Deputy Director of the leading liberal think tank of Switzerland, Avenir Suisse. She now runs her own business as author and consultant. Gentinetta is a regular contributor to the Swiss media, host of a talk show on philosophy on Swiss television, and a lecturer of public affairs at the University of St. Gallen. 

In May 2011 she held several presentations on the rise of the East and social responsibility in Shanghai and Hong Kong.
